Isle of Man Question

Jasmina and myself are thinking of going to the Isle of Man for a weeks holiday but we have a question for those that might be better informed than us.

The Isle of Man, whilst being a British Protectorate, has it's own Parliament, etc. What we need to know is are there any Visa requirements needed for non-UK/EU people travelling to the Isle? I know UK citizens don't need anything and we will be travelling from a UK airport (and Jasmina has already been UK Immigration and has a valid Visa for the UK) and I believe travelling from the UK or Republic of Ireland to the Isle of Man is fine without additional Visa's for non-Irish/British people if they've cleared Irish/UK customs. But I need to know for sure.

So, do any of you lovely folk have any knowledge of any requirements?

You are, in fact, going back to my roots, sir:) Grew up on The Rock and I'm ever so fond, even now. And yeah, far as I know what alex said is true. I'll check with my sister who works at the airport there and let you know soon as she gets to me just to be sure.

That would be ace and really useful, thank you :)

You might also be able to give me some tips on places to see. Ideally we're looking for historical ruins and rolling hills with cliffs and/or beaches if there are any :p

Somewhere away from the majority of civilization and humanity.

Also, what is travel round the island like? I notice they have lenty of tran routes by the looks of things. Any idea on how expensive these are? Also are tai's reasonably easy to find and happy to take you across Isle?

Questions, questions, questions...!!! :p

My Gran lived there for a while and we never had trouble getting there,
but no idea if you need to be EU or anything.

Don't remember seeing many exciting things there though!
Lots of nice countryside, but not a lot of landmarks to see.

Nice cats.

I believe they have a big wheel thing (not the ridey kind) also be careful when you plan to go, I can't remember when the TT and Manx GP are but you wouldn't want to go then unless you want to pay even more to get there and like motorbikes. Have some bike racer friends who have moved there and it was easier & cheaper to go to see them when they lived in Holland than to go to the Isle.
