iTunes Question

How many songs do you guys and gals have in your Itunes application (if you have iTunes).

I;ve started burning my CDs onto it so I can make custom playlists and also load them on my iPod and I've hardly made a dent in my collection yet but have 2770 songs coming in at 8.3 days worth of continuous music so far.

Looking at the boxes of CDs left to import I'm reckloning I'll have about 56 days worth of non-stop music BEFORE I hit the iTunes store to pick up the odd tracks that I've always liked but never brought the Albums of Singles of...

I don't use iTunes. My Winamp music library lists me as having 14 days plus just shy of four hours of music on my PC, covering 4752 tracks.

I have a couple of dozen CDs still to rip yet.

Most of my collection hasn't been imported to iTunes (approx 120 CDs to do).

My weak stats:

2169 songs, 6.7 days

My home machine has 4109 music tracks (13.3 days) together with 182 podcasts (3.6 days) and 76 Audiobooks (22.2 days).

The work machine has 1623 music tracks (4.6 days) which has aboput a 90% overlap with the home machine).

Before Daisy decided to stop working our full CD collection was put on to her using Roxio which was around 22gb. I never did the play time check though. Had she still been up she would have the whole Stephen Fry unabridged Harry Potter on her which is just over 8 days by itself IIRC.

I have 4500 to 5000 songs. About five years ago I converted all the CDs I and my wife had, and went with a musical jukebox setup. Shared external hard drive, we can sync our pods to the same source. I moved to a terabyte hard drive late last year. Right now, I have something like 62.3 days of continuous music. (We had a lot of classical music CDs).

8012 items of music so far...
But I've only done about 2/3 of my albums, practically none of my non soundtrack compilations, and noen of my cd singles or vinyl (I can't compress them to mp3 at the moment)
