But she's realised how much she missed the warmth of old friends, the culture and her family and after lots of thinking and talking has decided to try and make ago of things in Belgrade. She's going to start university there in October and is starting to look for part-time work tomorrow.
It was a really hard decision and one which is painful in some ways, but the right one to take at present. University is so much cheaper in Serbia than it is over here and she'll be able to live without so many money worries. Britain, and London especially, is very expensive to live in.
She says hello to those who know her btw and hopefully won't be a complete stranger. I'll almost certainly be heading over to Serbia in September now (August is a complete write-off due to conventions and other commitments) and personally can;t wait to catch up with the young lady again.
She had become one of my closest and dearest friends and it is going to hurt that she isn't here anymore. But the joys of modern life means that with MSN, Skype, email, mobile phones, air travel, etc people are never really all that far away.
I'm sure she'll be fine and have a great time to boot.
