I'm having a quick fire round of cinema trips over the next few days so if anyone fancies any of the below please feel free to come along. I'll be seeing them all at North Finchley VUE...

Thursday @ 6.20pm - X-Files: I Want To Believe

Saturday @ 11am - The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Sunday @ 11.45am - Wall-E

Also, carrying on the fine tradition started last year at GenCon in Indianapolis - the Cubicle 7 Team should be heading to the cinema on the Wednesday night before then heading over to the Diana Jones Award Ceremony.

If anyone wants to join us for our film trip you'll be more than welcome. Looking at the list of what's available I suspect we'll be watching The Dark Knight at about 7pm at the UA Circle Center at 49 West Maryland Street, which incidently is pretty much where our hotel is this year (ok, it's actually round the corner on South Meridian Street, but a lot closer than last year). I'll post confirmed times in the next couple of days once I've spoken to the team and also seen the actual listings for next Wednesday.

Don't do it
The X-Files is misery in cinematic form. You'll hate yourself for it afterwards.

Re: Don't do it
Sadly, no i mean that they have taken misery, bottled it, distilled it into a purer form and l=then laced every frame of the movie with it.

It would have made a poor episode of the X-files, it would have been a filler episode before they had a cool conspiracy one. Its pacing is off, the story uninspiring, the acting is limp and the action is dull.

Will you still have time to fit in listening to the first 24 hours of the Starblazer RPG Audio-book that Chris is recording just for you. Apparently each chapter will be read by a different guest speaker. I'm sure you'll manage to squeeze it in somewhere.

I saw The Mummy last night. Nothing particularly outstanding, but some great fun pulp adventure hockum. Kinda like the last two, really. Ultimately fun.

I've heard that X-Files was disappointing but I'll probably still go to see it anyway. Wall-E is still on my "to see" list (must try to get to cinema today, too, have a lot of catching up to do!).
