Rihanna - Disturbia

I'm not in the least bit ashamed to say that I love Rihanna. I didn't get the slightest bit bored of 'Umbrella' when it dominated the charts in the summer of 2007 and I loved the duet she did of it with The Klaxons and also the cover that the Manic Street Preachers did of it. I think it's a brilliant song. Indeed the albumn is constantly on my ipod and gets shuffled in every so often breaking up the Indie/Rock/Darkwave/Industrial/Trance/EBM dominance that exists there.

Anyway, as all good housemates can attest to, I am also very fond of Disturbia which is from her latest album. The video is fantastic beyond the fact that I also really like the song. So I thought I'd share. I'm hitting you guys and gals with it here as well as over on radio_infinity which I really need to pay more attention to than I am currently doing.

So, here is Rihanna's "Disturbia"...

I hope you all had a good weekend and are refreshed for the new week ahead! Good night!

I have Disturbia on my laptop and it was in the Lost game playlist at the National last month :)

I have to admit she has her moments, but I can't forgive her for last summer.

You know what... even though I am completely aware of it, and of other-peoples annoyance of it. I, like you, bear no ill-will to the Umbrella song.

Of course this is helped by the fact that somehow, I heard it once only.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes 'Disturbia'! I have it on my playlist at home, and enjoy it with or without the video.

I'm mostly ambivalent to Rihanna, the umbrella song I had thought was Nelly Furtado until I saw your post, and I always misheard it as "I'm gonna live forever - ever - ever". This song is pretty good, but holy crap, the video is beyond Manson-worthy; madness isn't easy to portray without falling back on clichés but this does a pretty good job. The bit where she looks like her arms have been cut off is just entrancing for its disturbingness.
