Classic Board Games Collection...

A company on ebay is auctioning off a large collection of classic boardgames on ebay which they brough as a job lot.

Amongst the hundreds of TV/Film inspired games there are some very choice - and individually expensive - titles. Pretty much the entire collection of 315 units are all rare at the very least.

Thanks to synabetic  for posting about this find.

The ebay listing can be found here (and at present has only hit just over $700 which is a steal - although doesn't hit the auctioneers reserve price atm).

They have got some duplciated (including two copies of Fortress America) and some of the games don't look in all that good condition - but it's a hell of a collection nonetheless!

at which point are you going to give up the ghost of the idea of housesharing and get a 3 bed place for you and your stuff? You're worse than the old bird with the world on her back in Labyrinth!

When I can get a 3 bedroom house for myself which is in a price range I can afford :p

I've actually trimmed my collection a number of times over the years (I sold a complete car loads worth of books and games 8 years ago where the second hand dealer who brought them off me only had the drivers seat left free after filling up his boot, back seats and passenger seat with boxes of books) and have sold quite a lot since moving into the new house - although admittedly it would be hard for the casual observer to see much difference :p

casual observer = someone who's tried to get into your spare room for a chat!

I once bought a stupid amount of Call of Cthulhu gear on eBay. It took three boxes and two months to ship it to the Uk. chilledchimp was a little shocked when I told her but I made my money back and finished off my collection.

There are also quite a few boxed RPGs along for the ride. I recognized the James Bond and D&D sets because *cough* we own them. And it reminded me that I need to ask my father if I can have his old copy of Combat!

...and even this collection doesn't have a copy of Parker Brothers Survive - so Ha! :D
